Are you aware of these dangerous driving times?

Most people don’t usually think about what times they have to drive and how dangerous some of those times are. Taking a look at some car crash statistics in the United States points to some very interesting information about when is the most dangerous time to drive.

There are many elements that determine when it’s more dangerous to drive, but there are some trends that are interesting. For example, more fatal accidents occur from June through October than during other parts of the year.

What day of the week is the most dangerous?

Typically, Saturdays are associated with the majority of the fatalities reported. In fact, the three-hour span considered to be the most deadly in this country is midnight to 3 a.m. on Saturdays. The second most deadly three-hour span is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday evening/night.

Around half of those fatalities reported were the drivers of the vehicles involved in the collisions. The remaining half of the fatalities were split between the occupants of the vehicles, pedestrians, and motorcyclists. Males are more likely to die in a motor vehicle crash with the majority of fatalities falling in the range of 21 to 24 years old per capita.

Unfortunately, it isn’t always possible for a driver to prevent a crash. Those who have lost a loved one in a fatal crash should ensure that they take appropriate action. This might include seeking compensation for the loss through a wrongful death claim. Working with a lawyer familiar with these cases is beneficial.

Your attorney can walk you through what needs to be done and help you with the process so you can focus on trying to heal from your loss.
